The 91st Oscar nominations were announced Tuesday in a presentation by the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences, hosted by Tracee Ellis Ross and Kumail Nanjiani.

The announcement revealed nominations in 24 categories, which showed a clear nomination spree for filmmaker Alfonso Cuaron’s Roma and Yorgos Lanthimos’ The Favourite, which both lead with 10 nominations each. It also became the first time that Netflix and Marvel each scored their first best picture nomination, with the latter joining the club with Black Panther becoming the first superhero movie ever nominated for best picture.

On the flipside, the Oscars this year also brought in major snubs, with the biggest upset being Bradley Cooper missing out of the nomination for best director, where the academy instead put its backing behind smaller films.

The awards are scheduled for February 25, 2019.
