With a sudden surge in film soundtracks being released in the last few days, none have been able to stand their ground, either because of their dramatically low aesthetic skills or just some really gaudy styling. However, we believe we might have found one which actually has all the ingredients to become an instant hit. Yes, we are talking about ‘Kaif-O-Suroor’ from Na Maloom Afraad 2.

Featuring Sadaf Kanwal in yet another sensual avatar after Balu Mahi – but with an oomph factor that has definitely grown tenfold – the song’s glamorous take on the scarlet seductress is enough to leave you in awe. Plus, if that’s not enough, her Haute Nomi Ansari wardrobe screams just the right level of temptation.

Full points for a well thought-of production design

In short, on the risk of sounding like flat-out fans, one wouldn’t disagree that unlike ‘Mera 24/7 Lak’, ‘Kaif O Suroor‘ stands out for all the right reasons. Be it the production design, or Sadaf’s purely organic dance moves, ‘Kaif-o-Suroor’ stands high and mighty in the face of competition.

Coming to Aima Baig’s vocals – which you may not even be focusing on given the glamour quotient in the video – whether it’s the Arabic verses or just simply her singing skills, she definitely leaves a lasting impression. However, one would still have expected may be some catchier tunes in the chorus, but we’ll let that go on the account of it being close to a good item song.

With all the naysayers still taking to social media to express their distaste, ‘Kaif-O-Suroor’ does have the potential, and most probably will, become the sound of the summer and perhaps,  will be one of the things people will be talking about after NMA2 releases.

If you still haven’t seen the video, you can check it out here and let us know what you think:
