With Hollywood being a forever-favourite for Bollywood to copy from, there’s no surprise that American television is also an obvious inspiration for the industry to base their shows on. So, naturally, with the success of Lip Sync Battle, the show is all set to run on Indian television with a slightly confusing name change.

Hosted by Farah Khan, Lip Sing Battle, has already started shooting for the show and will have celebrities appearing on the show and compete with each other by lip-syncing to songs. However, what surprised us – and Farah – was the appearance of Shah Rukh Khan on the show, who startled the filmmaker when he made an apparently unannounced entry.

Farah took to Twitter and shared a picture with SRK, where she thanked him for ‘energising the sets of her show.’

According to an Indian publication, a source said that Farah was elated about the fact that SRK had visited her on the sets. It was a shoot of Lip Sing Battle wherein Nakuul Mehta and Surbhi Chandna were opposite each other. SRK even cheered for Farah and danced to the iconic song – Om Shanti Om’s ‘Deewangi Deewangi’.

While Lip Sing Battle still hasn’t been given a release date, we’re sure it’ll entertain Indian audiences as much as it does in the west.
