It seems like the nepotism debate is not ending anytime soon. Whether it’s Saif Ali Khan’s changing stances or any other celeb defending Kangana Ranaut’s POV, everyone wants to be a part of the debate. The latest in the ‘are we/are we not’ dilemma though is Ranbir Kapoor.

Speaking at the ongoing Mumbai Academy of Moving Image Mela, Ranbir made it clear that his stance on nepotism hasn’t changed after anyone’s opinion. In a discussion with Karan Johar and Alia Bhatt, the actor said he’s a ‘product of nepotism’.

“I’m a product of nepotism and I don’t shy away from it but I don’t take advantage of it,” Ranbir said.

Also giving their opinions over the whole debate, Alia and Karan – both who in the past have given numerous statements – talked about the effect the word has had on them.

“I don’t want to feel apologetic about where I am today,” the actress responded, whereas Karan discussed how the word ‘nepotism made them feel like they’re criminals.’

With nepotism once a blazing topic in the film industry, one has to see how this unfolds in the upcoming MAMI Mumbai Film Festival discussion panels.
