With Bollywood scrambling haphazardly in a bid to find better stories for films, the actors and actresses from the industry are also trying to look into newer directions and roles. One such example is Katrina Kaif, who has expressed her wish to do a superhero film!

Speaking to an Indian publication, Katrina spoke about the prospect of women-oriented action films in Bollywood and the need for more such roles.

“I really think someone should make a superheroine film, It’s high time,” the actress said. “There are so many characters in our Indian comics as well as those which can be translated and brought in a Hindi film. Look at our mythology and there are so many characters that lend beautifully to be made into a great superheroine.”

Katrina will soon be seen in an action-packed avatar in the sequel to Ek Tha Tiger, titled Tiger Zinda Hai alongside Salman Khan. However, it seems that the actress is more keen on doing a role that is more ‘superheroine’ oriented than a desi version to Tomb Raider’s Lara Croft.

“I would love to play a superheroine. Why not? I have always loved superheroines. Actually, there are quite a few characters that I personally love. There are also some discussions on this, so I won’t say too much.” Katrina concluded.
