If there’s one Bollywood superstar that you’ll find in a multi-starrer one after another, it has to be Salman Khan. Never rejecting a film on the basis of competition with his contemporaries, the Bhai of the film industry has worked alongside Shah Rukh Khan to Aamir Khan back in the day. However, if you thought those times of camaraderie may be returning, think again!

Giving some major multi-starrer hits like Karan Arjun and Chal Mere Bhai, Salman feels that the times of celebs working together on major projects is a thing of the past – because of economics more than stars, themselves.

“The prices have gone high and we don’t have such budgets. Hence, the recovery will be impossible. For a two-hero film, everyone has to cut their prices drastically,” Salman told an Indian publication. “If the dates permit, then fine, but otherwise, asking actors to cut down their fee is also not right. Also, for any big film, you will need 150 days to shoot. Even something on the scale of a Karan Arjun would need that much time. It may not be possible with Aamir, Shah Rukh or me, but the younger generation can still do it.”

Although Salman may have cited the cost factor as one of the major reasons for such films not being made, he still hopes to do such a film in the near future.

“I would love to work with everyone I’ve worked with again. Whether it’s Sunny, Sanju, Ajay, Akshay, Shah Rukh or Aamir I would definitely do a film with them. But my character and their characters should be superb,” Salman reiterated.
