Drama serial Ranjha Ranjha Kardi has created tremendous buzz across the country. Most viewers, if not all, are anticipating what will happen next. The drama seems to be concluding soon but we all have so many unanswered questions and possible outcomes of what will be the fate of Noori (Iqra Aziz) and Bhola (Imran Ashraf).
And while the story continues to progress at an ambling pace, we have thought of four possible endings to it:
Noori might be her own hero
It was established early on in the play that Iqra’s character was a breakthrough for television. Noori — who later came to be known as Noor Bano — was not a girl who would succumb to ill-behaviour or be at the mercy of others. In fact, she was level-headed and constantly paving the way to gain what she wanted to achieve i.e. respect and wealth. And while she has all that now, there’s a lot at stake for her. She married a mentally-challenged person who is now physically violating her as well and is likely to show no signs of improvement. In fact, Bhola is becoming more aggressive and violent with each passing day.
On the other hand, her old lover Sahir is back in her life, trying to convince her to leave everything and start a life with him. In all likelihood, from what we know about Sahir, he is greedy and mischievous and perhaps this is his way to manipulate this girl again who still shows possibilities of reconciliation with him. This brings us to believe that Noori might have to be her own saviour and neither Bhola nor Sahir will be her confidante.
Noori will leave with Sahir
While worldly gains were her priority, she has reached the point of realization that money can certainly not give her happiness and peace of mind. She has respect and wealth but is constantly unhappy, compromising in exchange of her respectable status. This is gradually dawning upon her and she might make the move against her nature and elope with Sahir for a happily ever after.
She might accept her life with Bhola as her fate
While this may be the least possible outcome, it is not impossible. All her life Noori has longed for respect and now that she has finally reached that point, could there be something more dear to her than that? Possibly not. Although she is at a crossroads, it seems unlikely that Noori will give up these worldly pleasures and go back to square one.
She might pay a hefty price for her doings
We might be sympathizing with Noori’s character as she constantly keeps falling into a new trap, but it is important to consider her past doings and ulterior motives. She stole from a woman’s house who gave her respect in order to help Sahir. Time and again we’ve noticed that she is self-centered. In last week’s episode, we see that Bhola’s uncle (Kashif Mehmood) is now aware of Noori’s background and blackmails her that her reality will be laid open if she continues to interfere in Bhola’s treatment. At a crossroad yet again, we see Noor Bano step back because she fears the damage it will do to her reputation if her mother-in-law finds out about her social status. It is not to suggest that she shouldn’t think about herself, she absolutely should. But should she act indifferently knowing her silence will cause irreparable damage to somebody else? We’ll let you decide.
