When we think about spring season, the first picture that emerges in our mind is a splash of colors, be it blooming flowers or lots of dramatic prints. And while we are about to step into fall, global fashion circuit is warming up to spring/summer 2020 trends. Runway shows are loaded with spring makeup looks for the upcoming season and it feels like summer will last a bit longer.

The first of the ‘Big Four’ fashion events, New York Fashion Week (NYFW) recently wrapped up on 14th September. Many A-list celebrities collaborated with designer brands in the event, including the Euphoria star Zendaya who worked with Tommy Hilfiger, Miley Cyrus was seen in an all-black ensemble by Tom Ford, while Ashley Braham was spotted with her baby bump, dazzling in a masterpiece by Christian Siriano.

Showcasing what’s best in fashion and makeup, the event left us with several chic trends to follow in spring 2020. Here’s are our top 5 picks of eye makeup looks from NYFW.

Gigi Hadid’s glam look

Gigi Hadid has been spotted on the runway and otherwise in chic outfits at the NYFW. The major highlight of this year’s event was when Gigi’s heel broke during her walk for Marc Jacobs’ collection. The supermodel sashayed on the runway barefoot and she still managed to look drop-dead gorgeous. She carried her monochromatic look to the next level with her eye shadow. Seems like Gigi just set the trend to apply pastel eye shadows, specifically sky blue. You can recreate the same look with the Velvets Eyeshadow in Bahama Mama Shade by Essence. Get it here.

Ultra-slim lines of bright hues

For Jonathan Simkhai’s runway show, the makeup artist, Gato applied a color eye pencil on one of the models. This seems to be the re-emergence of colored eyeliner, but in brighter tones. To make the color pop, the artist used a white pencil first and layered it with a colored eyeliner. You can achieve the same look with LA Girl Eyeliner Pencils in different shades. For base, the Gel Glide eyeliner pencil in champagne is perfect. For the colored layer, you can try any shade of your choice from here.

Neon splash

For the Chromat collection, makeup artist Keri Blair used neon shades for makeup. These shades represent the spring season. “It’s always about graphic shapes, liner, color play, and always a blue,” she said. We believe the LA Girl Beauty Brick Eyeshadow in neon shades will help you to get the same look. Buy it here.

Shimmering smoky eyes

Tom Pecheaux created the ‘faultless’ gunmetal eye look for Brandon Maxwell’s collection. He used MAC eye shadow to create the look. You can get this shimmery smoky eye by using the MAC Pressed Pigment in Jet Couture shade. Buy it here.

Multi-dimensional smoky eyes

Tom Ford always experiments with the smoky eye look. Makeup artist Diane Kendal opted for a classic smoky eye this time, adding dimensions to it by applying metallic eye shadow on the center of the lids. You can achieve this look with Stardust Loose Eyeshadow Pigments by Luscious Cosmetics. Buy it here.

Pro-tip: No eye makeup is complete without filled-in brows and curled lashes. Luscious Cosmetics Brow Luxe Kit is an absolute must-have for eyebrows. You can also find your favourite Mascara here.
