There’s no stopping Priyanka! After recently having visited Syrian refugees in Jordan, meeting Queen Rania and then attending the Emmy Awards, last night the actress attended the Global Goals Awards held at the UN General Assembly in New York City.

These awards are dedicated to recognize and honour young people who have worked for the upliftment of war victims and refugees. While at the event, Priyanka presented the Leadership Award to an Indian girl, Ria Sharma, who has been working for the acid attack survivors under her organization, Make Love Not Scars (MLNS).

Priyanka also met Muzoonal Mellehan, who is UNICEF’s youngest goodwill ambassador and education activist. Sharing a picture of herself and Mellehan on Instagram, Priyanka quoted Mahatma Gandhi, “…“If we are to teach real peace in this world, and if are to carry on a real war against war, we shall have to begin with the children.” It was an honor to speak at the UN Global Goals Awards on the importance of empowering girls; addressing global leaders and influencers from the United Nations, philanthropy, media, non-profits, and business.”

The actress has been very proficient with her philanthropic work, gaining more fans and following worldwide.
