With the fit lifestyle becoming a popular trend and winter weddings requiring everyone to look their best, one of the many things we have to give up is unhealthy snacking. But what is one supposed to do when you’re spending your weekend on Netflix and the midnight clock requires some snacks?

Pizzas, chips, cookies are a big no no, so here are some healthy alternatives:

Popcorn

Home-made popcorn without butter or cheese is actually a healthy option, and it won’t make you feel like you’re losing out either! If you can’t make your own, choose 100-calorie packs of 94% fat-free microwave popcorn. Make sure it has no butter or cheese though!

Greek Yogurt

snacks

It’s high in protein, low in sugar, and quite filling too. You can always add some fruit or nuts for added flavour.

Dark Chocolate

Chocolate is definitely the most difficult thing to avoid, luckily there is a less fattening option to it! Opt for chocolate made with at least 70% cacao, it contains less sugar and more antioxidants than its milky sibling.

Fruit and Nuts

Always a good and quick option to snack on, if you can’t find anything else.

Crackers and Cheese

Multigrain crackers or low-fat rye mini toasts can be paired with low-fat cheese or hummus to make a yum snack.
