The Bollywood ban on Pakistani artists has taken an ugly turn. Just as we thought (read: hoped) the far-right elements in India couldn’t stoop any lower, comes another nasty blow, this time hitting Atif Aslam.

Atif has given vocals for a song in upcoming Bollywood film Baaghi 2 which features Tiger Shroff and Disha Patani in lead roles. The song, which is titled O Saathi, was released yesterday but Atif’s name is nowhere to be found in the credits.

The song was uploaded on music company T Series’ You Tube channel and while the credits even mention the name of the recording studio in Dubai where the vocals were recorded, Atif’s name has conveniently been removed.

Why would they do that? Why not dub the song altogether? Why keep Atif’s voice but not give him credit for the vocals?
