Nazia Hassan’s marital life may have been controversial, but it seems her ex-husband, Ishtiaq Baig is still willing to siphon fame through her name after approximately two decades of her demise.

Regarding this, Nazia’s brother, singer Zoheb Hassan, took to Facebook to clarify that the Nazia’s ex-husband is trying to make a film on the Disco Deewane singer for his own fame and profit.

“The Hassan family has come to know that Nazia’s ex-husband is trying to make a film on her life so he can feature himself and further profit from her name and fame,” Zoheb wrote. “Anyone entertaining this individual shall be duly and legally sued by our family as he has no legal right or basis to do so.”

Zoheb also mentioned that the Hassan family holds full publishing rights and any infringement will be taken action against.

“We hold full publishing rights of all our music worldwide and any attempted infringement of our catalogue shall be subject to legal cost and consequence,” the post said.

Nazia married businessman Ishtiaq Baig in 1995, from which they had a son, Arez Hassan. The marriage ended in a divorce ten days before Nazia’s death. In an interview later, her brother Zoheb Hassan related that Nazia’s personal life was filled with turmoil and she fought personal battles incessantly.
