Prince Harry and former Suits famed actress, Meghan Markle are expecting their first child together. The Duke and Duchess of Sussex, who tied the knot in May 2018, will welcome the royal baby in Spring 2019, Kensington Palace has confirmed on Twitter.

Speculations were rife that the newlyweds were expecting a baby, especially when Meghan was seen hiding her belly after landing in Sydney early Monday morning. Following these rumours, an official announcement about the pregnancy was made.

“Their Royal Highnesses The Duke and Duchess of Sussex are very pleased to announce that the Duchess of Sussex is expecting a baby in the Spring of 2019,” the official media account of Kensington Palace tweeted.

The couple was delighted to share the news with the world and extended their gratitude towards everyone who has continually supported them ever since the two tied the knot.

“Their Royal Highnesses have appreciated all of the support they have received from people around the world since their wedding in May and are delighted to be able to share this happy news with the public,” the official statement stated.

As part of their first official international tour, which will extend to 16 days, the couple is currently in Australia where they will attend the Invictus Games. They will be travelling to Fiji, New Zealand and Tonga as part of this tour as well.
