After winning hearts of the audience with his power-packed performance on TV, it was speculated that singer-actor Farhan Saeed will be making his feature film debut in Wajahat Rauf’s next, Karachi Se Lahore 3. Rumours were rife as a picture of him reading the script alongside other actors of the film went viral. Neither the director nor the actor confirmed or denied the news at that time.

However, the Udaari actor has finally put all the speculations to rest.

Farhan Saeed was seen reading the film’s script last month

Speaking exclusively to Something Haute, the Suno Chanda star revealed that he was in fact offered a pivotal role in the upcoming film but had to turn down the offer because of his music tours and commitments.

“I was offered the lead in Karachi Se Lahore 3 with Kubra Khan but unfortunately I had to opt out because of my music tours and concerts that I had already committed to.”

The third installment of the film features the original cast of KSL, with Ayesha Omar, Shahzad Sheikh and Yasir Hussain reprising their roles. Additionally, Zara Noor Abbas, Asad Siddiqui and Kubra Khan are on board for the film as well. Farhan says he had to excuse himself from the project as he believes that an artist should fully commit to a project in order to give their best performance.

“I believe that an artist must pour his/her heart and soul in every project, and I would never want to commit to something I can’t give my full attention to. The decision to not go ahead with the project is because of my clashing dates. I wish the team good luck and wish they do really well,” he added.

Written by Yasir Hussain, the sequel of the film is slated for release on Eidul Fitr 2019.
