Ranveer Singh’s Simmba has been in the cinemas for almost a week and as expected it has been a massive box office success. According to independent box office websites and sources, Simmba has managed to rake in PKR 7 crore in the first four days in Pakistan.

However, if you’re still doubtful whether to watch it in the cinemas or better wait it out, here are 5 reasons why you should definitely check the film out in a theater…

The crackling combo of Rohit Shetty and Ranveer Singh

Simmba

Rohit Shetty’s latest directorial Simmba is his first collaboration with Ranveer Singh. The actor plays a cop in the action flick, which is a spin-off of Ajay Devgn’s Singham. We all know Rohit Shetty’s films are synonymous with family entertainment; they are larger than life, filmi, and bursting with energy. Add a livewire like Ranveer into the combination and the result is plethora of scenes where you just cannot stop rooting and hooting for the hero.

However, Ranveer’s corrupt cop character Sangram Bhalerao aka Simmba is a perfect yin to Rohit’s yang. What will take you by surprise is the action choreography which is not blown out of proportion (contrary to general expectations) as Simmba is shown to be as humane as a boy next door.

Sara Ali Khan’s charisma

Simmba

After a screen-stealing debut in Kedarnath and several praise-worthy press interviews, Sara Ali Khan has established that she is here to stay. Though the young Pataudi had a brief stint in Simmba as Ranveer’s love interest, she shines throughout the first half. The setting of Rohit’s film is dramatically opposite in milieu from her previous performance, but Sara (as Shagun) manages to hold her own in front of Ranveer’s flamboyant persona. Don’t miss the scenes where Ranveer is getting jealous of her best (guy) friend; Rohit undoubtedly knows how to create moments which will urge the audience to blow a whistle or clap in applause.

Cameo galore with Ajay Devgn and more

Simmba

So Simmba has a connection with Singham, therefore, the prodigal hero returns as Bajirao Singham and we cannot get enough of Ajay Devgn’s cop avatar. We also saw Golmaal boys in the song Aankh Marey leaving fans asking for more. If that was not enough to build the tempo, Akshay Kumar also made a special appearance with a hint that the director will be most likely to make a cop drama next year with Veer Suryavanshi (played by Akshay Kumar).

Action and mass appeal

Simmba

It has been a long time since Bollywood has produced an out-and-out entertainer designed to make people laugh and not preach. This is one of those few flicks which promises viewers a bang (more like a dhamaka) for their bucks. If you are averse to this particular brand of films then Ranveer is going to make you laugh till your stomach starts aching, Sara and his romance will make you blush, the action sequences are not to be missed and you will end up learning a quirky sentence or two in Marathi.

Do NOT expect a soul-stirring storyline

Simmba

Like almost all Rohit’s potboilers, Simmba is filled with hardcore action, bucket loads of entertainment, rib-tickling dialogues, and unabashed idiocy done with conviction. It barely touches upon a grave subject as a catalyst but never leaves the core of the action adventure. What’s genuine about the effort is that the actors and director never commented about making a serious film and they stick to it; a no-brainer with emotional trimmings.
