After participating several times at the World Economic Forum at Davos, Switzerland, two-time Academy Award-winning filmmaker, Sharmeen Obaid-Chinoy is all set to be a part of three panels at the ongoing coveted event this year.

On her first panel, which is scheduled to open for participants on Wednesday evening, Sharmeen will be taking the audience behind the scenes of her latest documentary film, Freedom Fighters, which is an inspiring story of three Pakistani women taking a stand against violence at the hands of men.

Apart from that, she will also participate in a session titled ‘Speaking out under Threat’, which will highlight the plight of activists, artists, and professors facing online to physical harassment, whereas for her third panel, the filmmaker will participate in a session titled ‘Return of the Strongman.’

Since being at the event, the Saving Face director has also shared images where she met with Queen Rania of Jordan and with Bollywood filmmaker, Karan Johar. She has also moderated a session with Lina Khalifa, who is the founder of SheFighter, which is the first self-defense studio for women in the Middle East.

The World Economic Forum is scheduled for this week and started from Tuesday, January 22, 2019, and will go on until Friday, January 25, 2019.
