Pakistani films are garnering praises and accolades at international forums for quite sometime. The latest to make us proud are Laal Kabootar and Baaji, both of which have made it to the DC South Asian Film Festival (DCSAFF) 2019, which is scheduled to commence next month.

Saqib Malik took to Instagram to share his happiness as he wrote, “After Baaji’s wins at the Mosaic International South Asian Film festival in Canada, we are very proud to have Baaji programmed at the Washington DC South Asian Film festival. The film will be shown on September 21st at noon. Looking forward to seeing the Pakistani community in the DC area in full force!”

Recently Saqib Malik’s directorial Baaji was screened at the Mosaic International South Asian Film Festival (MISAFF) and won two awards: Jury Prize (audience recognition category) and Best Supporting Actor.

That’s not it, Laal Kabootar is all set to premiere at Singapore South Asian International Film Festival before DCSAFF, on 4th September, 2019.
