Dates of Pakistan’s leading music festival, the Lahore Music Meet have finally been confirmed by the organizers for its fifth edition, and is all set to roll out the carpet on the 1st and 2nd of February, 2020, at the Alhamra Art Center.

The two-day festival that has been celebrating music since 2015, will include live performances, and music masterclasses for the aspiring musicians, along with one-on-one sessions and conversations with Pakistan’s finest musicians. In previous years, the festival has accumulated a long list of participating musicians which includes people from all genres of Pakistan’s music scene to creative arts.

 

 

Legends like Attaullah Esakhelvi, Ustaad Naseerudin Saami, Fareed Ayaz and Abu Mohammad; regional performers Mai Dhai, Akhtar Channal and Saeen Zahoor; pop/rock artists Ali Noor, Ali Hamza, Jimmy Khan, Ali Sethi, Omran Shafique, Ali Azmat, Gumby and Abid Brohi; independent musicians Poor Rich Boy, Ali Suhail, Takatak; and esteemed members of the industry like Arshad Mahmud, Tina Sani, Sajjad Ali and Javed Bashir, have all been a part of the festival.

The Lahore Music Meet, a women-led event, will be celebrating its fifth year as a platform that creates discourse around music, musical enterprise, education and academia, all while engaging festival goers with day long performances.

The festival will be directed by Natasha Noorani and Zahra Paracha, with Sana Nasir as the lead designer and Munizaeh Sanai as creative director, and is open to public.
