Riz Ahmed is on a roll these days as he is winning accolades left, right and center! Many publications are predicting that he will rap up an Oscar nomination after bagging a lead actor gong for his new film.

The actor recently tweeted that he has won London Critics’ Circle Film award in the category of British Actor of the Year for Sound of Metal and Mogul Mowgli. His short — The Long Goodbye — has also won Best Short Film of the Year.

“Thanks to the @londoncritics for the British actor of the year award for Sound of Metal & Mogul Mowgli, and best short films of the year award for The Long Goodbye,” he tweeted.

Good news is that Riz has also joined the Mayor of London’s Commission for Diversity in the Public Realm. But that’s not it!

The star will also be a part of Barack and Michelle Obama’s next venture in which they will adapt Mohsin Hamid’s critically adored 2017 novel, Exit West into a Netflix movie.
