Pakistani musicians collaborating with each other is always an exciting experience. However, when we see two artists from two different generations yet very relatable to the current pop culture of Pakistan jamming together, we can’t wait to see more. On Wednesday night, two big names from the music industry — Strings’ Bilal Maqsood and Asim Azhar — got together and jammed, subsequently leaving fans excited.

Strings have officially announced that the band is disbanding and the two frontmen, Bilal Maqsood and Faisal Kapadia, have parted ways. However, Bilal actively shares videos of him playing instruments on his Instagram. Recently, he shared a video in which he shared that Asim and he got together to work on a project. This sent waves of excitement over the internet as fans of both the musicians started wondering about this upcoming collab.

“He came for work but was sweet enough to entertain all of us,” Bilal wrote about Asim on Instagram.

The video featured Bilal on the piano while Asim was singing Shuja Haider’s Nawazishein Karam. In the second video clip, Bilal can be seen playing a guitar and singing Strings’ Soniye alongside Asim.

Asim also shared Bilal’s video on his Instagram Stories and wrote: “I didn’t know Bilal Maqsood doesn’t like to sing in front of family at home. But I requested him to sing my favourite Strings song, which he did, and I did too! Thank you Bilal Bhai for always being so amazing!”
