With a number of sexual misconduct cases surfacing in entertainment industries around the globe, it was the recent Zaira Wasim incident which had a deep impact on some major Bollywood celebs like Aamir Khan.

“I think sexual harassment is a very sad thing to happen to anyone, irrespective of what your sex is. Sexual harassment is just not on,” Aamir told Hindustan Times.

Apart from the incident, the actor also spoke about the need for industry insiders to take responsibility via their craft.

“Creative people do have a role to play in showcasing men and women in a manner that influences people in the right way. I do believe we have some sort of responsibility in that,” he said.

Aamir is currently in Thailand shooting for Thugs of Hindostan. The movie which is directed by Vijay Krishna Acharya also stars Amitabh Bachchan, Fatima Sana Shaikh and Katrina Kaif in lead roles, and is slated to release on November 7, 2018.
