After the success of ‘Afreen Afreen’ on Coke Studio, the rendition of the Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan classic by Rahat Fateh Ali Khan and Momina Mustehsan has now become the first Pakistani song to cross 200 million views on Youtube.

Taking to Instagram to announce the feat, Momina shared a video of her and Rahat Fateh Ali Khan crooning to the classic.

“Thank you, everyone, for your love and support! Afreen becomes the first song in Pakistan to cross 200 million views,” she wrote.

The song original song was penned by Javed Akhtar in 1996 for Pakistan’s music maestro, Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan, who had composed it.

Previously, the Coke Studio rendition also became the fastest Pakistani song to cross 100 million views on YouTube  – a record previously held by Atif Aslam’s ‘Tajdar-e-Haram’.
