With Parwaaz Hai Junoon all set to release on Eid-Ul-Azha, the cast is currently in the UK to promote their film amongst a gargantuan amount of press meets and junkets. And in between them all, Ahad Raza Mir took to BBC Urdu to talk about his debut film project.

Speaking to Fifi Haroon on her show, the actor had several things to talk about regarding the film. However, the most important point the actor raised on the show had to be the importance of overseas Pakistani youth in changing the stereotype of the country.

Ahad, who himself has lived most of his life in Canada, believes that it is the large youth population outside of Pakistan, that can change how the country is looked at.

“I took a risk by coming to Pakistan, and it’s paid off,” Ahad said. “I just want to give out this message to the Pakistani youth abroad, that they should go watch Parwaaz Hai Junoon. Pakistan has had a bad reputation for too long now. I think films and art are how we can change this. They should watch this film to see how beautiful Pakistan, its people, and the Pakistan Air Force is.”

The actor also talked about how Pakistanis abroad can help in changing beliefs about Pakistan.

“The overseas youth should be the one spreading the idea that Pakistan is not what it’s made out to be,” Ahad concluded.

We can’t help but wholeheartedly agree with the actor!
