With his penchant to create music as a comment on Pakistani society and all its shortcomings, singer/comedian Ali Gul Pir is now all set to release his next single, which will talk about combating extremism.

Titled ‘De Maar Saday Chaar’, the satirical song will feature a rap battle between the two extremes in Pakistan – conservative and liberal extremism.

“I thought this is an important discussion to be had in Pakistan,” Ali told Something Haute. “Every time I watch the news, I only see two extremes calling for the annihilation of one another. Our society needs more tolerance or else we will all suffer.”

Aiming to highlight how extremism of both kinds can be devastating for any society, ‘De Maar Saday Chaar’ comes at a time of uncertainty for Pakistani society as it juggles between extremism of all sorts.

Ali’s music video is being directed by Hamad Khan and will release later in the coming week.
