Ali Sethi sings his rendition of Faiz’s poetry ‘Dil Ki Khair’ in a groovy party

Ali Sethi

There in no denying the fact that Ali Sethi puts much thought in his artistic videos, but sometimes it is great to have fun while working. Ali’s latest offering Dil Ki Khair is one such song which lightens up the mood and reminds us about family feasts.

Featuring Faiz Ahmed Faiz’s poetry, Dil Ki Khair shows a grand party in Lahore where we spot familiar faces like Ali’s sister, Mira Sethi, Emmad Irfani, model Rehmat Ajmal, designer Fahad Hussayn and many others. Composed originally by Ali Sethi, the singer has collaborated with Grammy Award winning producer Noah Georgeson for this recomposition. While describing the song, Ali wrote on his Instagram post, “Trumpets and twirls, boys and girls! Presenting the first-ever reggaeton ghazal!”

A reggaeton is a form of dance music of Puerto Rican origin, characterized by a fusion of Latin rhythms, hip-hop or rap. We can find most of these elements in Ali’s rendition as he dances to the groovy tunes with friends and family.

And it seems even Bollywood was eagerly waiting for the song as we noticed Ayushmann Khurrana lauding the singer a couple of times on Instagram recently.
