While it’s still an issue and a half for Pakistani and Indian celebs to think of cross-border ventures, we’ll always have the UAE as ideal middle ground! Various cross cultural activities in Dubai keep the calendar exciting and the latest to prove this was MTV India’s Unplugged concert featuring Ali Zafar and Ayushmann Khurrana.

Performing in Dubai, the two artistes were seen at the event, rocking it to their popular tracks. While Bollywood’s Ayushmann held the stage for a long time and finally made an exit after singing his ever-popular ‘Pani Da Rang’, the energy remained palpating as reportedly, the entire stadium chanted ‘Ali, Ali’ in anticipation of the rockstar of Pakistan.

Singing ‘Chal Dil Mere’ amongst other hits in his signature style – replete with a gold jacket and sunglasses – the singer sang well into the night. And how he kept his energy up was nothing short of a miracle as he was hospitalzied that very day and returned just two hours before the concert. He was admitted for a viral infection he had been carrying, which took a bad turn.

However, knowing the singer’s energy, the night continued with Ali crooning to his Coke Studio persona with ‘Rockstar’ and ‘Julie’ with utmost perfection. Now, that’s what we call unmatched energy despite all odds!
