With the FDCI Indian Couture Week 2017 drawing to a close, it was designer of the stars, Manish Malhotra who presented his collection as the grand finale of the show with none other than Bollywood’s young heartthrobs Ranveer Singh and Alia Bhatt as showstoppers.

The duo closed the week-long show in style, where Bhatt wore a brown skirt – which we found nondescript at best – with an embellished blouse, while Singh wore an embroidered navy blue sherwani with –yes, pants. Although both fashion choices were disappointing coming from a designer of Malhotra’s calibre, the Gully Boy pair still managed to make the garments look good.

Alia Bhatt is seen here with her Gully Boy co-star Ranveer Singh, and her designer, Manish Malhotra as he fixes her skirt.

Speaking to the Indian news agency, IANS, Bhatt was quoted saying that it was ‘fantastic’ to walk for Manish Malhotra.

“It does feel fantastic to every time walk for Manish. He is like a family. He is so amazing and inspiring,” the actress said.

Talking about walking with her future on-screen hero on ramp, Bhatt added,

“I’m walking with Ranveer for the first time. Whenever I’m with him, there’s a different level of energy and enthusiasm because he just has that inside him. He’s very special.”

Paired together in Zoya Akhtar’s upcoming Gully Boy, the two were seen sharing an interesting chemistry in the social media photos that they have shared, and that in itself made their aura palpable at the finale.
