It has been the year of weddings in Bollywood as renowned stars Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh, Priyanka Chopra and Nick Jonas tied the knot recently. Now, global business tycoon Mukesh Ambani’s daughter Isha Ambani is all set to be married this week to Anand Piramal, son of Ajay Piramal — owner of Piramal pharmaceutical — in what is being termed as the ‘big fat wedding of the year’. Not only local, but international big names will be in attendance.
Here’s all you need to know about this grand wedding:
Indian leading dailies have been speculating that the daughter of Nita Ambani will likely dress up in Manish Malhotra ensemble for her big day. For all the pre-wedding festivities, the family will wear the ace designer’s dresses. For the maha puja the bride-to-be donned a Sabyasachi custom-made outfit.
Not only Bollywood’s biggest stars like Salman Khan, Katrina Kaif, Priyanka Chopra and Vidya Balan will be in attendance, but Hillary Clinton has also arrived in Udaipur to be part of the wedding celebrations. It was earlier reported that Bill Clinton will also be attending the wedding along with his wife.
If reports are anything to go by, globally celebrated singers Beyonce and Taylor Swift will be taking the stage for a private concert. Earlier, when Isha and Anand Piramal officiated their love in an extravagant engagement ceremony which took place at Lake Como, Italy, John Legend was flown in to perform for the guests. Bollywood stars Shah Rukh Khan, Priyanka Chopra, singer AR Rahman, Arjit Singh and producer Karan Johar are all reportedly going to perform at the sangeet in Udaipur.
All the pre-wedding festivities — cocktail party and sangeet ceremony — will be hosted at the lavish City Palace and other posh residential five-star properties have been rented to accommodate the guests.

The richest family of India also made headlines for their over the top invitation card which was worth INR 3 lacs. The cards were sent along with gold and diamond jewellery.
After the pre-wedding celebrations, the families will all be flying off to Mumbai where the nuptials will take place on December 12. This is the third high-profile wedding of the season which will commence at Udaipur.
