With the success of 3 Bahadur marking a fruitful entry of animated films in Pakistan, it opened up the doors for more experimentation with the visual medium. Now, the latest venture of that ideology is Allahyar and the Legend of Markhor.

Purely made in Pakistan, the animation shown in the teaser is enough to make one fascinated with it. However, what makes it even better is the localisation of the story, which focuses on the Markhor – the national animal of Pakistan. In the teaser, however, you’ll also end up seeing some more endangered animals of the nation too, such as the Snow Leopard.

Although the teaser doesn’t give out much of the story, we see who presumably looks like Allahyar, the hero of the story.

Whereas the quality of the animation does promise a high-quality experience, one still has to wait for the trailer or at least some more relevant information to find out what exactly is Allahyar and the Legend of Markhor. However, one things surely certain that whenever it releases, it already has quite a following.

While this is far from the first animated film in Pakistan, it sets a new benchmark of what kind of animations need to be made in the country.
