With the highly-anticipated animation Allahyar & The Legend of Markhor inching near its release, the team behind the film have now released its original soundtrack, ‘Hum Hain Rahi.’

Sung by Ali Noor, the song narrates the story of Allahyar and his friends – Hero, and Mehru, as they go on a journey through the terrain to reach their destination and fight off the evil poachers who threaten the land. Juxtaposed with Allahyar’s struggles, the vocals play a brilliant role in showing the mighty heart of the story, itself.

Although the vocals are beautiful – as is the animation – and captures the situation perfectly, we still wish that there was some way to tell that Allahyar & The Legend of Markhor is based in Pakistan. While there’s been a conscious effort to localise the story, the scenery may as well be any other picturesque nation of the world if there’s no local element to it. Given that the song is the OST of the film, even a single sign of the film’s locality or ethnic/cultural background would have done wonders.

Allahyar & The Legend of Markhor is slated to release on 2nd February 2017.
