After Pakistani singers have taken over Bollywood, it seems now our writers too have managed to make their mark on the Indian film industry. The latest to do so is the popular writer of Khaani, Asma Nabeel.

Penning a song for Kajol’s upcoming film, Helicopter Eela, Asma took to Facebook to announce the feat.

“Indeed an emotional moment for me,” the post said. ‘Tu gaya tu ruki saari sansain… mar bhi jayain tu ab nahi koi gham,’ my first ever song in an Indian film and shot on one of my favourites the one and only #Kajol.”

The song, which features the Kuch Kuch Hota Hai actress is a melancholic number that can also be seen within the trailer of the film that released on Sunday.

Helicopter Eela is a story of an aspiring singer and single mother, who re-joins college to complete her education. The film is slated to release on September 7, 2018.
