Saqib Malik’s directorial venture Baaji, has another feather to add to its cap; the movie is all set to be screened at the Vancouver International South Asian Film Festival after its successful runs at the DC South Asian Film Festival and the Mosaic International South Asian Film Festival.

Baaji had earlier won the Grand Jury Prize at the Mosaic International South Asian Film Festival, as well as bagging accolades for Best Supporting Actor, and seems like the movie is in for more appreciation. The news was announced on the movie’s Instagram page, which revealed that it will be screened on the 16th of November.

Baaji is is said to be a drama-cum-thriller set in a time-space of Lollywood’s fading glory and the emerging Pakistani film industry. The movie stars Meera in the lead role, and is widely regarded as her comeback. The cast also includes Osman Khalid Butt, Amna Ilyas, Ali Kazmi and Nayyar Ejaz in major roles.
