After releasing its power-packed trailer, makers of upcoming film Parwaaz Hai Junoon have released the first song, ‘Bhulleya’.

Featuring young cadets Hania Aamir, Ahad Raza Mir, and Syed Shafaat Ali, the video explores the many facets of life in the military, which goes from quotidian schedules and friendships to extreme airborne missions, within moments.

However, while the video is able to traverse through various visuals of interest, the vocals rarely do.

Sung by Mustehsan Khan with music by Azaan Sami Khan, ‘Bhulleya’ is hardly an interesting song when it comes to the lyrics and vocals, which are often borderline bland. One would expect that within the song there’s at least one moment of an uplifting sensory experience, but that’s unfortunately not a focus of the song.

Having said that, we’d still give ‘Bhulleya’ a nod when it comes to the music, which albeit subtle, works well in places where it needs to.

Directed by Haseeb Hassan, Parwaaz Hai Junoon is slated to release on Eidul Azha 2018 and stars Hamza Ali Abbasi, Ahad Raza Mir, Hania Amir, Shaz Khan, and Kubra Khan in pivotal roles.
