Britain’s most high-end brands, Vivienne Westwood and Burberry, are all set to collaborate for a limited-edition collection of re-imagined British heritage pieces.

Riccardo Tisci, Burberry’s chief creative officer, took to Instagram to reveal that he is going to work alongside one of his design inspirations.

“Vivienne was one of the first designers who made me dream to become a designer myself,”  Tisci wrote. “I am SO honored to announce a new Burberry collaboration with the original British Punk.”

“Vivienne Westwood was one of the first designers who made me dream to become a designer myself and when I first started at Burberry, I knew it would be the perfect opportunity to approach her to do something,” Tisci said in a statement announcing the union. “She is a rebel, a punk and unrivaled in her unique representation of British style, which has inspired so many of us. I am so incredibly proud of what we will be creating together.”

The collection will launch in December, with proceeds going towards Cool Earth — a non-profit rainforest charity organisation – that works alongside communities against deforestation and its impact on climate change.
