After kicking up a storm in Karachi with Chapter 2, Khaadi has now canceled its much-awaited launch in Lahore amidst a tense situation in the city.

According to an official message received by Something Haute, the event was canceled amidst security concerns in the city, which has been under stress after the arrival and arrest of former Prime Minister of Pakistan, Nawaz Sharif and his daughter, Maryam Nawaz from Lahore airport. Reportedly there have been major protests within the city.

Although a new date has not been disclosed yet, the event is likely going to take place within this month.

Chapter 2 is Khaadi’s Shamoon Sultan’s latest venture into the prêt market and it mainly focuses on hand-woven minimalistic prints and designs, made for the contemporary consumer. A Chapter 2 store successfully opened in Islamabad yesterday, giving the Capital city a much needed dose of fashion.

The Lahore launch may have been cancelled but the good news is that the store will open for public today. Shop your heart out guys!
