As a part of the 4th Global FIFA World Cup Trophy Tour By Coca-Cola, FIFA has added 24 countries to this year’s tour list and luckily for us Lahore, Pakistan is one of the destinations! In total, the Trophy will be traveling to a whopping number of 51 countries and 91 cities. Besides Pakistan, Iceland, Mongolia & Austria are also going to witness this iconic moment for the first time.
A specially chartered plane carrying the Trophy, which has already traveled up to 152,000 kilometers over a period of 9 months, is currently on its way to Lahore! Of course, no Coke tour can be enjoyed without a chilled glass of your favourite beverage; hence Coca-Cola is set to distribute over one million bottles as free sampling too!
Knowing Coke and their close links with the entertainment industry, a grand Coke Fest has also been arranged from 2nd -3rd February at the Lake City Golf and Country Club, where the Trophy will be open for public viewing. Along with a night of delicious food and performances by your favourite musicians, you can get access to view the legendary trophy here too!
The trophy is made of solid 18-carat gold and weighs around 6.142 Kg. Traditionally, the players receive a gold-plated trophy on winning the FIFA World Cup, while this iconic Trophy can only be lifted by the winners & head of state personalities.
