The most sought-after power couple of Bollywood – Ranveer Singh and Deepika Padukone – has finally been pronounced man and wife in a grand and intimate ceremony at Lake Como, Italy.

The wedding took place at the picturesque Villa Del Belbianello with around 30-40 guests in attendance. The two got hitched at the first ceremony as per Konkani rituals, while the second event according to Sindhi traditions is scheduled for tomorrow.

Director Karan Johar was among the first celebrities from Bollywood to congratulate the newly-weds. He took to Twitter and wrote: “Such a stunning gorgeous and beautiful couple!!!! Nazar utar lo! Deepika and Ranveer, Badhaai ho!!! Love you both!!! Here’s to a lifetime of love and joy!”

The second tweet came from actress Nimrat Kaur who tweeted, “Huge congratulations @deepikapadukone and @RanveerOfficial !! Here’s to the blissful ever after of every step you walk together…”

Fans are yet to catch a glimpse of the bride and groom as the couple has ensured heavy security at the venue in order to avoid paparazzi, and a no picture policy also bars the guests from sharing any pictures on social media.

For today’s South Indian wedding Deepika was reportedly wearing a traditional white and gold silk sari by Sabyasachi, while Ranveer has opted for a kanjeevaram sherwani. For the Sindhi wedding, Deepika will don a red, heavily embroidered lehnga, as per reports in India Today.

Before the final ceremony Indian dailies spilled the beans on details about the pre-wedding functions but none of these reports were verified by any proof on social media. From Ranveer Singh’s dramatic entry to ‘Tune Mari Entriyaan’ to Harshdeep Kaur’s performance, #DeepVeerKiShaadi is keeping fans on their toes.
