After her phenomenal performance in Padmavaat, it seems like Bollywood diva Deepika Padukone has taken a break from acting. It was speculated that it was to tie the knot with acclaimed actor and boyfriend, Ranveer Singh. While that is yet to be confirmed, a report has revealed that she is now all set to co-produce her first film.

While we may not see the Yeh Jawani Hai Deewani actress in front of the camera, it has been reported that she will take up the role of a co-producer, working behind the camera alongside Raazi director Meghna Gulzar for a promising project.

PinkVilla reported that Meghna has joined hands with Deepika for an upcoming film which will reportedly be about an acid attack survivor, Lakhshmi Agarwal who was attacked by a man after she rejected his proposal. Later on, she started her own NGO in hopes to help other acid attack survivors. According to a report by DNA, the shooting process will start in February 2019.

Deepika has has set up her own production house and hopes to make promising and content-driven films, a source informed Asian Age. Anushka Sharma and Priyanka Chopra have already taken up film production and now it looks like Deepika is going to follow suit.
