Five fashion weeks led to the opening of Ensemble One at Dolmen Mall today and I must say, it was a phenomenal success. Stocking fashion under Rs 10,000 is a revolutionary idea for Pakistan (where the average designer label begins at 15,000) and credit goes to Zeba Husain, Shehrnaz and Shezray for bringing it together. Here’s what the evening looked like…

Ensemble One advertising was all over the mall…I guess compelling shoppers to follow the yellow brick road to retail therapy if not the Emerald City!

Shehrnaz and Shezray Husain with Maheen Karim, whose colourful tunics you can pick up at Ensemble One now!

(L-R) Sana Hashwani, Muniba Kamal, Reza and Safinaz Muneer at the launch and no, Sana Safinaz lawn is not available at the boutique. They were only lending their presence in support of Zeba Husain and fashion! Do note that Safinaz is wearing the tunic that I also own 🙂 and what Sana is wearing – the blue ikat print – is even more desirable if possible. Trend: shorter shirts ladies!

Zeba Husain seen here with Kamran Khan…KK? Now what would Kamran Khan be doing at a boutique opening? He certainly piqued the curiosity!

Muniba, Fareshteh and I enjoying the post-fashion week calm. And this is calm compared to reviewing over 50 collections in 3 weeks! Fareshteh, of course, indulged in retail therapy too.

Nomi matched his hot pink socks to the store’s colour theme!

Maheen’s new Gulabo line (seen at FPW Spring/Summer 2012) is here and so is Ather Hafeez, who’s apparently shifted to Karachi to work with Sana Safinaz who will be opening at Dolmen Mall in August. Doesn’t it get better and better?

Tapu Javeri and Andleeb enjoying the coffee at Butler’s for all fashion events must end at a cafe! It’s always the finale for us 🙂

The uber-stylish Feeha Jamshed gradually getting back into her groove where she has been dearly missed. Now, doesn’t the Dolmen Mall look de-vine?

And I guess all you fashion lovers need to know who’s stocking at Ensemble One: Maheen Karim, Slate by Faiza Samee, Nomi Ansari, Maheen Khan, Deepak Perwani, Sania Maskatiya, The White Label by Nida Azwer, Umar Sayeed Light, Mahin Hussain Accessories, Ammar Belal, The Pencil Sketch, Muse and Ritu Kumar as well as Ensemble’s in-house line. There’s also a Luscious counter in store. And what’s best: EVERYTHING is priced under Rs 10,000. Surely an irresistible attraction for women willing to spend around Rs 6000 on an unstitched lawn jora. No more joras ladies, fashion is about ready-to-wear revolution!
