Choreographer

The sangeet-cum-reception event — which is being held on May 8 — is expected to be the the grandest event Bollywood has ever seen. According to Filmfare, Bollywood beauties including Kareena Kapoor Khan, Karisma Kapoor, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan and Katrina Kaif will be gracing the event with their presence and performances. Farah Khan is in charge of choreographing the sangeet while Karan Johar is said to be the organiser. “Anil and I are very fond of each other, we call each other ‘Papaji’. He is so fond of me that I will be choreographing his daughter’s sangeet,” revealed Farah Khan during her appearance on the Television show Entertainment Ki Raat.

Designer

According to reports, designer Manish Malhotra is doing all the outfits. And if that is indeed true, Sonam’s sangeet night is guaranteed to be a treat for our eyes!

The bride’s work status

There have been reports that Sonam has clearly told her team that she will not be working May 2 onwards considering she wants to give some time to herself and her family. However, the bride-to-be had the most fitting reply when she was asked if she’d continue working after marriage. “Nobody will ask a man these questions. But why is a woman always asked these questions? Shahid Kapoor ki shaadi ho gai hain, kisine unse poocha if he’s going to work or not work? This misogynistic mindset is what needs to change and hopefully with films like this (Veere Di Wedding), something changes,” she said at a recent press conference.

Other than her wedding preparations, Sonam is also busy promoting Veere Di Wedding, which releases on June 1. She will also walk the red carpet at the Cannes Film Festival on May 14 and May 15.
