While Ranveer Singh is basking in the success of Padmaavat these days, his stress, regret, and psychosis from playing the role of Alauddin Khilji in the film aren’t going away that easily!

The film starring Deepika Padukone and Shahid Kapoor, apart from Ranveer has opened to record-breaking numbers and has already garnered more than INR 100 Crores at the box office. However, while the numbers speak of glory, the actor felt otherwise on his condition.

“Sometimes, off camera, I’d have evil thoughts and negative feelings towards people, and I had to stop and protect myself by neutralizing,” Ranveer had confessed to Hindustan Times. “I realized, I was shooting the film and going back to my den while being Khilji all day. Not neutralizing was taking a toll on me.”

Previously, it was also reported that Ranveer and Deepika both, had to go through therapy sessions to come to terms with the stress of the film.

“I spoke to my family and friends, who are my first aid. Fortunately, the ‘first aid’ worked and I didn’t have to go to a doctor. But, it’s true that I was going crazy in between,” the actor said. “You know, as much as it affected me emotionally and mentally, I have also come out feeling lighter. It is rare and overwhelming to see such great response to performances and the film.”
