A student at Bahria College Islamabad has come forward with a claim that an examiner at her college sexually harassed 80 students. Saadat Bashir is a professor of biology at Islamabad Model College for Boys, and was sent by the Federal Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education (FBISE) to invigilate the exams at Bahria College.

One of the victims posted on Facebook that she was groped twice by Sadat during her practical exam on May 24. She also stated that the examiner did the same with almost 80 students and passed sleazy comments at them. The students were told not to speak up by their teacher as the examiner threatened them to deduct their marks.

 

 

 

The post is going viral on social media and calls for authorities to take an action against him.

Many celebrities too have shown support to the girls and have demanded justice for the victims.

Meesha being the first to address this issue wrote, “All strength and power to this brave sister for sharing her disgusting and alarming experience.  kindly take immediate action. We are all watching and we are all waiting!”

 

 

Mawra Hocane — who is an alumni of Bahria college — said she had spoken to relevant authorities and requested them to take action against this disgusting act at their earliest.

 

 

Mahira Khan too expressed anger and wrote, “Name and shame this man!! Shame on Sadat Bashir!! Make an example out of him. May justice be served to all these brave girls and God knows how many before them.”

 

 

The matter has been reported to Bahria College Principal Iqbal Javaid as well as to FBISE and according to reports the college has started investigating the incident.
