Last night super star Fawad Khan threw a surprise party to celebrate his wife Sadaf’s 35th birthday. A lot of planning and several sleepless nights went into its planning; according to Sadaf, Fawad would be on his phone ‘working’ and in the bathroom ‘at stretch’ saying he wasn’t feeling well. She suspected he was planning a small GT but nothing this big. The bash was planned at Fawad and Sadaf’s new home in Model Town – which is currently under renovation (they haven’t moved in yet) – and the 100-something exclusive guest list was looped in on a Whatssap Group.

Fawad and Sadaf’s is a 20-year relationship, which means she was 15 when they fell in love. I love this story.

L-R: Fawad, Amna Baber, Urwa Hocane, Maheen Taseer, Ammara Hikmat, Meesha Shafi, Cybil Chowdhry, Aamna (me) and Rana Noman.

Mahira Khan, looking as lovely as ever, and Kamiar Rokni, as entertaining as ever. He’s the best person to have a conversation with at a party.

Kamiar Rokni with Meesha Shafi, who felt she was quite under-dressed for the party. I think she looked as good as ever. Some people have inherent style and look fabulous no matter what they wear.

The dress code said black and gold but those of us who deviated from the theme went for haute pink or red. Urwa Hocane looked sharp in a two-tone pink, though she confessed she missed her hubby Farhan who was working in Karachi and sis Mawra, who’s filming in Dubai these days.

Maheen Taseer, who shared a new chapter in her career, Ammara Hikmat, who’s producing Maula Jatt and Urwa Hocane, who says she’s taking a break from films this year.

With Sadaf and Fawad, who was the envy of every married woman yesterday.

Faraz Manan, Shahzad Raza, Ammara Hikmat, Umar Sayeed, Asim Raza, Rana Noman, Meesha Shafi and Kamiar Rokni with Fawad.
