The upcoming weekend promises some serious star and style possibilities which cover Pakistan, India and Dubai. We’ll be seeing another big fat celebrity wedding unravel on Instagram as Priyanka Chopra and Nick Jonas tie the knot in Jodhpur. And then we’ll see some celebrity action in Dubai as the annual Masala Awards celebrate their 11thyear on December 4. Dubai is known as the global melting pot of cultures and over the years we’ve seen Pakistani and Indian film stars come together on the Masala platform, which is always good to see and celebrate. We’ve seen stars like Mahira Khan, Saba Qamar, Farhan Saeed, Faraz Manan, Mawra Hocane being honoured at the event; Farhan Saeed and Humaima Malick have also performed at the ceremony.

The Pakistani involvement in the event has gotten a little stronger this year with three Pakistani judges (including Faraz Manan) on the jury and with Nabila on board as the official stylist. Something Haute has now exclusively learnt that Faraz Manan will be showing his latest collection at the ceremony too. Faraz is one of the few couturiers to have made a name beyond the realm of Pakistan; his clientele is not only limited to Pakistan and UAE but also the royals in Lebanon and the A-list stars in the Bollywood industry.

We got in touch with Faraz Manan for some details.

“I am going to show my Spring Summer Couture Collection at the Masala Awards,” he shared. “I would define this collection as apt for the region. It’s the perfect fusion of East and West. I am sure it will appeal as much to the Subcontinent as it will to the Middle East region – in short it works for everyone.”

Will his Bollywood bestie be walking for him, we asked?

“Let’s wait and watch,” is all he said.
