Overload singer, Farhad Humayun has been granted stay against Coca-Cola Pakistan by the Intellectual Property Rights Tribunal Lahore, for violating the copyright of his composition of the song Neray Aah in a recent TV commercial.

“Respondents are restrained from using, exhibiting, displaying the song Neray Aah on any/all print, digital or social media platforms in any manner whatsoever,” read the news shared by the singer himself.

“Stealing so blatantly & shamelessly – They’ve lifted the groove, melody, stoccato vocalization, accents, tempo from my song, not the film version nor the Coke Studio version(which is also my arrangement). This has to stop!” Farhad had earlier shared his displeasure over the alleged plagiarism of his song Neray Aah in the Coca-Cola TV commercial.

This is not the first time Coca-Cola Pakistan is being accused of plagiarism, however, “Things happen when you stand up for your rights,” shared Farhad on Twitter after winning the case.
