Fawad Khan is back in JPNA2!

Well, it’s been a strange two days for Fawad Khan fans.

As we reported yesterday, in a rather surprising move makers of Jawani Phir Nahi Ani 2 (JPNA2) had removed Fawad Khan’s cameo in the film. JPNA2 writer and actor Vasay Chaudhry told us it was because of a technical error with the subtitles.

“Because Fawad is shown speaking with a lisp, for the sake of clarity there were supposed to be subtitles all throughout his performance, including one song he’s shown singing. Unfortunately, due to a technical error, subtitles weren’t added to the song and those added to his scenes were also incorrect. And since the movie has already been released, the only choice we had was to delete the scenes because fixing the subtitles, without stopping the film’s release, isn’t possible at the moment,” Vasay Chaudhry had said.

However, the latest update is that Fawad’s special appearance is being added back in the film. “Fawad is such a huge star and we were all thrilled to have him in the film. It was deeply upsetting for us to remove his cameo because of the issues with the subtitles. I am glad though that our team was able to quickly address the issue. We apologise to the fans who missed out on his performance these past two days. But the good news is that Fawad will be back in JPNA2 this evening,” actor and producer Humayun Saeed told Something Haute.

Well this certainly is great news because those who had watched Fawad’s performance were thoroughly entertained by his character — a never-seen-before avatar that of a rock star with a lisp!

JPNA2 has, otherwise, opened to fantastic reviews with critics saying they loved it. Cick here to read our review.
