Two singles of Pakistani guitarist and rock musician Khurram Waqar’s band – kW & The Facedown Movement – have been nominated in the Best Rock Song category at the upcoming VIMA 2018 Music Awards.

The songs titled Todi, the Smoker and Bend It are contesting against 38 other songs composed by bands from all over Asia. VIMA Music Awards is based in Malaysia and feature nominations from Asian countries namely Thailand, Singapore, Indonesia, Hong Kong, India, and Sri Lanka to name a few.

Khurram Waqar has been part of various rock outfits over the last 30 years namely Entity, kNuMB, Cocytus (USA), Qayaas and now kW & The Facedown Movement. He was the lead guitarist in the rock band Qayaas which also featured Umair Jaswal. Khurram is also a songwriter and producer.

The public voting to select the best rock song of the year is happening on the official Facebook page of VIMA Music Awards. A special photo album with the pictures of all nominees has been posted along with the link of their songs/videos and one like on the picture qualifies as one vote. The polling is open till 11 pm on 20th December.
