Even though the filming of Game of Thrones ended many months ago, the cast has been on a tiring media tour promoting the final season of the show. Page Six reported on Tuesday that Kit Harrington, who had been playing Jon Snow for the past eight seasons, has checked into a luxury health retreat in Connecticut to recuperate.

“Kit has decided to utilize this break in his schedule as an opportunity to spend some time at a wellness retreat to work on some personal issues,” a representative for the actor told The Hollywood Reporter. The actor is being treated for alcohol use and stress control at  Privé- Swiss treatment facility in Connecticut where he’s resided for the past month. His arrival at the center was reported just weeks before the show’s finale was aired on May 19.

Earlier in an interview with Esquire, Kit admitted to having a “full-on breakdown” while shooting the series’ final scenes and went on to explain the flurry of emotions he felt after the final scene was shot. “They called ‘wrap’ and I just f—-g broke down. It was this onslaught of relief and grief about not being able to do this again,” he said, adding, “But the weirdest bit was when we came off set and they started taking the costume off and it felt like being skinned… It felt like they were unceremoniously for the last time ripping off this character.”
