Mehwish Hayat’s beaming smile is hard to ignore and when she’s onscreen with Humayun Saeed, their chemistry is hard to forget. Dillagi set that romantic halo into motion and one expects it to shine even brighter on the big screen. Punjab Nahin Jaungi appears (judging by the trailer) to be a simple and predictable story but I can see that these two will breath life into it.

So much is evident by the looks of the first video from the song; ‘Teri Naal‘ performed by Shafqat Amanat Ali is a light and romantic melody that stays with you beyond the visual of the video. It’s not too unique; I do hear strains of Rahat Fateh Ali’s ‘Teri Bina Jeena‘ from Bin Roye and also reflections of Shafqat’s own song ‘Sajda‘ from My Name is Khan. There are frames that remind us of popular Bollywood wedding songs (like the balcony dancers and the nose flick) but despite all of this, it’s a fun and colourful song that makes one anticipate the movie a little bit more.
