Haute Trend: Purple eyeshadow is the new alternative to pink

What’s the best color to rock as the year draws to a close? You guessed it right – it is millennial’s favourite funky shade, purple — the reigning champion of hot new trends. This darker blend is dethroning girly pink tones, whether you like to wear it in hues of lilac and lavender or bold fuchsia shades. The color has taken over stylist and celebrity looks, and the best way to incorporate it is to make an edgy statement with eyeshadows.

With masks over our faces whenever we’re outdoors, there isn’t much to do in terms makeup, so you can easily create striking looks with a luxurious shades of purple to ace your eye game and stand out from the rest. Hint: take note for new year celebrations, but keep it amongst family and close friends.

Here is a look at who has worn it in 2020 and how:

Sonya Hussyn is giving us serious Daphne Black (from Scooby-Doo) vibes here. Although the shade of purple she has worn is different from the fictional character, it does remind us of her love for all things purple.

The mystical and fairy-like look can be created by using pale periwinkle shades or purple and keeping a light hand when applying.

Indian designer and newly-launched actor, Masaba Gupta has rocked a shimmery shade of lilac in a photoshoot.

Eman Suleman created this jewel-toned purple eye look for making a bold statement.

Zara Peerzada has given a new twist to the trend by mixing it with other popping shades.

Eman Suleman tends to agree and tries neon in her look!
